یک آژانس تجاری خلاق و استراتژیک چند رشته ای و آژانس خلاق واقع در مرکز شهر بیرمنگام ، آلاباما ، خود را پیدا کرد که به سرعت از فضای اداری موجود خود پیشی می گرفت. مهمترین هدف آنها برای ایجاد دفتر جدید ، تضمین این بود که همکاری و خلاقیت در هسته اصلی هویت آنها باقی بماند زیرا نمایندگی آنها در پیچیدگی سازمانی رشد می کند. ArchitectureWorks مستقر در بیرمنگام در توسعه فضایی که به واسطه قدرت ارتباط و همکاری ایجاد شده و با مردم ، اشتیاق و ایده ها ترویج می کند ، نزدیک با کاین همکاری کرده است.

 معماران با استفاده از دفتر چوبی و شیشه ای، درج شده در پوسته آجری موجود در یک گاراژ سرویس قبلی، معماران مناطق کار در هم تنیده مستقر در اطراف، داخل و بالای محوطه های اداری و جلسات محصور را ایجاد کردند. فضاهای همکاری آزاد در محل تقاطع مناطق کاری به عنوان بخشی از گردش اولیه در فضا عمل می کند و به همین ترتیب فرصتی برای تعامل بین ادارات و در عین حال ایجاد ارتباط بصری در کل فضا شد. و در امتداد محیط فضا پراکنده شده است: قلاب های توخالی و راهروهایی که هم به عنوان فضای جلسات منعکس شده و هم برای محیط های کاری آرام برای کاربران تلفن همراه قرار می گیرند.

ارتباط فضایی

“درج” با سفید کننده های سبک آمفی تئاتر در لابی اداره شروع می شود که به سطح اشکوب می رسد که میزهای آرام و باز را ارائه می دهد. در زیر اشکوب دفاتر محصور شده با شیشه و فضاهای پشتیبان قرار گرفته است که دو دفتر باز – تابلوهای گشودنی بین قاب و دیوارهای بیرونی آجری قرار دارد. دفاتر محاصره شده و نوارها در مرکز همکاری در فضای همکاری با روتختی وایت برد مشغول به کار هستند که امکان تعامل مداوم بین تیم های خدماتی خلاق و آژانس مشتری فراهم می کند.

این پالت به تکیه گاه گسترده ای از مواد طبیعی و رنگ های خنثی تکیه می کند تا زمینه ای برای روند پر جنب و جوش و خلاقانه به ویژه برای کار آژانس فراهم کند. نقص ها و بی نظمی های موجود در فضا پذیرفته شده و در طرح گنجانیده شده است. عجیب و غریب های دیگر از روزهای ساختمان به عنوان یک گاراژ خدمات در سیستم سقف فولادی باقی مانده بود و یک رنگ سفید یکنواخت را رنگ می کرد تا علاقه بافت را به خود جلب کند در حالی که مداحی از پیشرفت های گذشته در دیواره های داخلی آجر باقی مانده بود.

Project description of Cayenne Creative

 A flourishing multi-disciplinary strategic branding & creative agency located in downtown Birmingham,

Alabama, found themselves rapidly outgrowing their existing office space. Chief among their goals for their new headquarters was ensuring that collaboration and creativity stayed at the core of their identity as their agency grew in organizational complexity. Birmingham-based ArchitectureWorks worked closely with Cayenne in the development of a space fueled by the power of communication and collaboration and that promotes people, passion, and ideas.

Using wood and glass clad office ‘insertions’ within the existing brick shell of a former service garage the Architects established interlocking work zones arranged around, inside, and atop the enclosed office and meeting spaces. Open collaboration spaces at the intersections of work zones act as part of the primary circulation through the space and so became opportunities for engagement between departments while also creating visual connectivity throughout the space. And scattered along the perimeter of the space are upholstered nooks and alcoves that serve as both impromptu meeting spaces and quiet workspaces for mobile users.

Relation of spaces

The ‘insertion’ begins with amphitheater-style bleachers at the office’s lobby that rise to a mezzanine level that offers relaxed,

open desking. Beneath the mezzanine are glass-enclosed offices and support spaces that line two open office ‘bullpens’ framed between the insertion and the original brick exterior walls. The enclosed offices and the bullpens engage at the center of the space in a whiteboard-clad collaboration space that provides opportunities for constant engagement between the agency’s creative and client-services teams. The palette relies on broad swaths of natural materials and neutral colors to provide a backdrop to the lively, creative process particular to the agency’s work.

The imperfections and irregularities present in the space were embraced and incorporated into the design. Miscellaneous oddities from the building’s days as a service garage were left in the steel roof system and painted a uniform white to leave textural interest while echoes of past improvements were left on the brick interior walls.
