کلیسای لوتران Hope-Grimes یک مرکز ماهواره ای از یک کلیسای بزرگ و چند پردیس بزرگ انجیلی لوتر در قلب آیووا است. این ساختمان ۲۱۱۵۰ فوت مربعی به عنوان یک اجتماع و مرکز پرستش برای یک جماعت به سرعت در حال رشد در یک جامعه روستایی در حال گسترش خدمت می کند.

سایت

این سایت بخشی از توسعه مسکونی و تجاری برنامه ریزی شده بزرگتر است که بر روی پیمایش و اجتماع متمرکز است. توپوگرافی سایت ، پیکربندی و جهت گیری این امکان را به وجود آورد که ساختمان در نزدیکی مرکز سایت قرار گیرد و به سمت یک حوضچه طوفان منطقه ای که دارای ماهی ، یک فضای عبادت غیر رسمی در فضای باز و وسایل نقلیه عمومی جامعه در یک دوره دور است ، جهت یابی شود.
ترافیک وسایل نقلیه و عابر پیاده در حوالی مرزهای جنوبی و غربی جریان می یابد و به ساختمان اجازه می دهد تا از فاصله ای به عنوان شکل فروتنانه ای که درون زمین قرار دارد مشاهده شود. عبادت کنندگان و بازدید کنندگان از یک ایوان “یک طبقه متوسط” در شرق به ساختمان می روند و از داخل مناظر منظره می کنند.

ساختمان

این بنا با دو جلد ساده شکل گرفته است. فرم پرستش تیره تر با بافت دست ساز کاشی های سفالی ساخته شده است و به عنوان کشتی ای است که کارکردهای پرستش و آموزش بزرگتر در آن قرار دارد. روکش فلزی سفید و تک طبقه ای فلزی ، به عنوان یک نوار پشتیبانی از فرم عبادت بزرگتر عمل می کند و یک “ایوان جلوی” گرم را با ترکیب سرو و یک پوشش محافظ کنسرو ایجاد می کند.
صلیب به عنوان عنصر سوم در ترکیب که ورودی را مشخص می کند و ترکیب ساختمان را متعادل می کند. جمع آوری فضاها ، امکانات آموزشی و فضای عبادت ۴۰۰ صندلی انعطاف پذیر باعث می شود که ساکنان بتوانند در طول زندگی کلیسا و جامعه اطراف رشد و وصل شوند.

project description of Lutheran Church of Hope-Grimes

Lutheran Church of Hope –Grimes is a satellite facility of a large, multi-campus Evangelical Lutheran Church in the heart of Iowa. The 21,150 square-foot building serves as a community and worship center for a fast-growing congregation within an expanding rural community.

Site

 The site is part of a larger planned residential and commercial development focused on walkability and community. The site topography, configuration, and orientation afforded the building to be placed near the center of the site and be oriented toward a regional stormwater pond stocked with fish, an informal outdoor worship space, and community vehicular round-a-bout.

Vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow around the southern and western boundaries allowing the building to be viewed from a distance as a humble form nestled into the earth. Worshippers and visitors approach and enter the building from a modest one-story “porch” on the east and have views to the site and pond from the interior.

Building

The building is shaped with two simple volumes.  The darker worship form is crafted with a hand-made texture of clay tiles and serves as the vessel where larger worship and education functions reside.  The lower single-story white, metal clad-form serves as a support bar to the larger worship form and creates a warm “front porch” with the incorporation of cedar and a cantilevered protective overhang.

The cross stands as a third element in the composition marking the entrance and balancing the building composition. Gathering spaces, educational facilities, and a flexible 400-seat worship space enable residents to grow and connect within the life of the church and the surrounding community.
