مشخصات پروژه مسکونی رودخانه هود

رودخانه هود واقع در دامنه شمالی یک آتشفشان در حال انقراض ، در گذار بین دره کشاورزی و دامنه جنگلی دره رود هود استراحت می کند. سایت اصلی ترین عامل تصمیم گیری در زمینه طراحی بود. از دیوار بتونی که خانه را به دامنه کوه می اندازد و از آن در برابر باد شدید ، باران و برف زمستانی که از جنوب می آید محافظت می کند. به نمای شمالی شفاف روبروی کوه. آدامز و دره زیر. این خانه به گونه ای طراحی شده است که ضمن بهره گیری کامل از جذاب ترین ویژگی سایت – منظره کوه و باغ ، از مناطق شدید آب و هوای محلی پناه بگیرد. شکل خانه نواری طولانی و ساده است که به دو جلد زیر یک شکل سقف مستطیل تقسیم می شود.

دیوار بتونی قسمت داخلی و بیرونی خانه را به منظره لنگر می زند و منظره های نمایشی را به سمت شمال فیلتر می کند. سقف به سمت جنوب ریخته می شود و ضمن باز شدن در قسمت نمای و نور شمالی ، از منازل و فضای بیرون از عناصر محافظت می کند. بیشترین حجم خانه شامل محل زندگی اصلی با اتاق های خواب ، آشپزخانه و اتاق های جمع آوری است. دومین جلد کوچکتر دارای یک مجموعه میهمان است و هر دو فضای روی یک دکوراسیون فضای باز سخاوتمندانه باز می شوند و فضاهای سرگرم کننده خانه را به داخل مناظر دعوت می کنند. گردش در امتداد دیوار بتونی در جنوب سازماندهی شده است و به هر منطقه عمومی و خصوصی می تواند منظره ای از دره زیر و کوههای فراتر از آن نشان دهد.

Project description of Hood River Residence

 Located on the northern slope of an extinct volcano, the Hood River Residence rests at the transition between the agricultural valley and the forested hillside of Hood River Valley. The site was the main driver for design decisions; from the concrete wall that tucks the home into the hillside, protecting it from the harsh wind, rain, and winter snow coming from the south; to the transparent northern facade facing Mt. Adams and the valley below.

The home is designed to shelter from the extremes of the local climate while taking full advantage of the site’s most attractive feature—mountain and orchard views. The form of the home is a long, simple bar split into two volumes under one rectilinear roof form.The concrete wall anchors the interior and exterior of the home to the landscape and filters the dramatic views to the north. The roof sheds to the south, protecting the home and outdoor spaces from the elements while opening up to the views and north light.        

 The largest volume of the house contains the main living area with bedrooms, kitchen, and gathering spaces. The second, smaller volume contains a guest suite, and both spaces open onto a generous outdoor deck, inviting the entertaining spaces of the home out into the landscape. Circulation is organized along the concrete wall to the south, giving every public and private area a view to the valley below and mountains beyond.
