From the beginning of the urban history, the public realm has been the territory of the
sociable people and has had diversity of form in different situations.
When a designer is dealing with organizing urban blocks in designation of districts in
the projects of urban design (particularly ground preparation plans), there are numerous guidelines and
patterns for the order of blocks from different views such as energy, efficiency, permeability, security,
social interaction, etc.
It is crucial to improve the quality of life in marginalized areas, which are the result of
unequal urban and regional development and include many problems and shortcomings in terms of
inhabitants’ satisfaction of life.
